Bear Grylls’ Mud, Sweat, & Tears was a surprisingly inspiring book. Highly recommend if you want to love life more. That guy has a lot figured out.

Two beds and you say I should lay in one of them? Nah, I’m good guys. Thanks though.

Never Ready

People always talk about being “ready” to be married, to have kids, to move, to switch jobs, etc.  Throughout my life I’ve noticed that I never feel ready to do anything.  I could have prayed more, I could have studied more, I could have saved more, I could have changed more, etc.  There’s always more that I could do to get ready, but what if God is ready and He just wants me to shut up and come along on this thing that He is doing.  Doesn’t He promise us in scripture that He’ll always provide what we need?  So lately, I’ve been trying to look at life in terms of God’s timing instead of my being “ready”.
